The Educational Minister Dipu Moni said the Bangladesh government has approved the new Educational Curriculum for class 1 to class 10 students. This curriculum will be effective from 2023.
Let’s see the New Curricular that was started from the new educational year–
From 2023, all educational institutions will have two days Friday and Saturday off every week.
PEC and JSC exams were canceled and from 2023 there are no PEC and JSC exams. That means, there is no central or public examination before the tenth grade.
There will be no exams until the third class.
40% from class four to class 10 and 30% from the 11th and 12th classes will be assessed in the educational institution.
There will be no department for science, humanities, and business studies. Altogether, A section will be introduced, it will be introduced in HSC.
The results of the board examination SSC will be based on the class ten syllabus.
There will be no separate books for pre-primary children, teachers will teach.
In primary school, students will read eight books.
In the new curriculum, 10 types of learning areas have been fixed from pre-primary to tenth class. These are –

- Life and livelihood – (জীবন ও জীবিকা)

- Environment and climate – (পরিবেশ ও জলবায়ু)
- Science and Technology – (বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি)
- Information and communication technology – (তথ্য ও যোগাযোগপ্রযুক্তি)
- Physical and mental health and safety – (শারীরিক ও মানসিক স্বাস্থ্য এবং সুরক্ষা)
- Values and ethics – (মূল্যবোধ ও নৈতিকতা)
- Art and culture – (শিল্প ও সংস্কৃতি)
